This is a superb exhibition quality genuine antique English 19th century Victorian period circa 1860s two door Display Cabinet / Side cabinet of exceptional quality with a visible t French Louis XV influence with beautifully serpentine shaped ends. the cabinet is crafted from imported Central American Mahogany and is finished in the finest ‘honey coloured’ very decoratively figured Walnut.
The well figured top is book leaf matched and has a complex profiled multiple edge molding plus a perimeter Satinwood line inlay The frieze has multiple Ebony and Satinwood line inlaid panels and has a lower well cast applied decorative brass molding the doors have a cast brass cover strip to match the frieze molding plus glazed panels so as to reveal the shelved interior and each door has ebony line inlay cross banding around the glazed panel and a bold cast brass molding over the outer edge of the glass. Either side of the doors are curved and cross banded and panelled engaged pillasters each with well cast brass mounts top and bottom. The serpentined sides also have fine line inlays forming a panel. The whole sits on a plinth base with a complex multiple edge molding, line inlay and shaped to compliment the cabinet and the top.
Condition: Desirable Original and Excellent for age. The metal mounts may be re gilded if one requires extra bling.
