They are very superior quality genuine antique 19th century English Victorian Display Cabinets with a stylish ebonised finish which is then decoratively embellished with various gilt applied gilt metal mounts including the ‘chain of pearls’ to the top and bottom of the frieze section. and around the shaped base. The top has ‘Ivory’ line inlays and a stylised geometric ‘Ivory banding around the frieze section. Either side of the large glazed display door are free standing full height finely fluted and gilt embellished columns with simple gilt metal Ionic capitols and directly above these are Jasper ware ( with classic ancient scenes ) Wedgewood style medallions in cast gilt metal mounts. The plynth bases also have gilt metal molding and are supported on corner positioned ebonised bun feet.

Each cabinet has a full width shelf with a front ebonised finish and horizontal ‘Ivory’ line inlays and both cabinets are mirrored at the back of the cabinet so as to create an illusionist effect and displayed items may there for be viewed on all sides.

Condition: Basically original and near excellent however one does currently have slight water damage to part of one top surface which our restorer will rectify in a most professional manner.
