This is a very superior piece of genuine antique English Furniture and is unusual and rare being finished in Amboyna which was a Timber used more by the French than the English and Walnut. Then again this Credenza / Side Cabinet is made very much in the French manner.

The cabinet is comprised of three sections with curved display areas at both ends. The end display sections have curved door frames and curved glass while the middle display section has a straight framed door also with original glass and all glazed panels reveal the double shelving within each section. The middle section has a break front in that it sits slightly forward from the rest of the cabinet.

The fine quality walnut finish is embellished with an extensive mount of subtle tone on tone fruit wood inlays, Chain of Pearls brass beading around the perimeter of the glass display panels plus horizontal brass cast moldings and two feature vertical gilt decorative moldings at the top of the flat engaged pilasters either side if the central door.

All supported on plinth base shaped to compliment the rest of the cabinet and raised with its original short turned and tapered feet.
