This is a superior quality genuine antique Chest of Drawers from the first quarter of the 1800s. The primary construction Timber is solid Mahogany and the secondary timbers such as the drawer linings are good hard long waring Oak.

The chest it nicely bow fronted and all four full width graduated drawers and the side vertical pillasters all have recessed panels with a beaded pedge molding as do the edge of the crossbanded top and the base platform.

The whole is supported on four corner positioned turned and reeded bun feet which compliments the beaded moldings. The drawers are all complete with their original locks and brass key hole escutchions.

This is a very high quality Chest of Drawers that would benefit from some professional conservations which would also increase the value of the chest.

Condition: Over all Very Good Original and will ‘clean up well’. There is a fine shrinkage crack across the top which could be professionally restored.
