This is a good and practical genuine antique English 19th Century Victorian period rectangular box with a brass hinged lid.The box is constructed from prestigious imported Central American Brazilian Rosewood and has a profusely inlaid top with Mother of Pearl in the form of a continuous band of Floral and Foliate decorative designs. There is also a central rectangular panel that may be engraved with ones initials and the keyhole also has a rectangular Mother of pearl escutchon.

over all very good and complete condition with a minor repair internally around one hinge. we can have this professionally detailed and the box lined at a small additional expense if required.
