This is a superior quality genuine antique English earlier 1800s Georgian Regency period 1811 - 1820 Jewellery and or Trinket Box of classic sarcophagus form finely crafted from premium prestigious Brazilian Rosewood of exceptional colour and lovely figuring. The top of the lid has a Mother of Pearl inset panel for a monogram and the circular keyhole escutcheon is also made from Mother of Pearl. At either end are heavy cast brass circular ‘rope twist’ carry handles and the whole sits on squat reeded feet which compliment the fine beaded edge moldings.

Condition: Externally excellent. Internally as is however it still retains its lift out tray. The interior may be relined with fabric or with polished timber panels.
