A superb pair of antique French Giltwood Fauteuils. Louis XV style in the manner of Nicolas-Quinibert Foliot, Paris c 1870. The frames in original condition showing beautiful patination with the red bole showing through the gilding in spots of natural wear. Standing upon their original brass castors & leather wheels. An equivalent 18th c pair of chairs would fetch ten times this price.
