These are a very good and nicely detailed pair of genuine antique French later 1800s revival Chairs in the popular Louis XIV manner. These chairs have been made by very good specialist chair makers and are very well proportioned and detailed The attractive show timber frames are made from solid Walnut and this shaped frame is referred to as Os De Muton due to the shape of the legs and stretchers resembling sheep bones. As the arms are open and not enclosed they are referred to as Fauteuils. The seat backs have the attractive curved ‘camel hump’ back with the curved top rail and both the backs and the seats are finished with brass studding.

Condition: Excellent for age.
