These are a very good pair of genuine antique French early 1900s Cassolettes.

The square bases, urn shaped vases and reversible lids are made of solid green Onyx and are embellished by finely cast applied moldings with the lids having pineapple finials when used as lidded urns and finely cast candle stick holders when inverted.

The main body of the Urns have classic Goat ( Ram ) heads on either side which are connected by swags of Grape vine with leaves and Grapes which are all finely case and gilt finished.

The Urns are cradled in a petalated lobed cups supported on short decorative flared columns with lower ring collars and all standing on two squared stepped bases with gilt bronze ‘string of Pearls’ moldings.

Condition: near excellent however some gilding is warn. We can have them regilded if required.
