Antique English William IV Set of 6 Rosewood Dining Chairs
These are an exceptionally superior quality and very desirable set of six genuine antique English William IV Rosewood Dining Chairs made circa 1835. Superbly hand made by craftsmen the ‘show timber’ frames are crafted from solid Rosewood embellished with high quality decorative carvings. There are end scrolls to the shaped and curved top and rail, a boldly carved curved waist rail. The seat rails are straight, narrow,nicely profiled and the front rail has an applied shaped carved panel to compliment the waist rail. the front legs are well turned and nicely tapered and feature a full height inverted carved Tulip with the legs terminating in unusual 'acorn' shaped feet. The rear legs are inward tapered and backward swept sabre legs.
The back has an upholstered padded panel for additional comfort and the seat is webbed and padded.
