A lovely pair of genuine antique English early Victorian Mahogany framed Carver Chairs upholstered and diamond buttoned in pale green leather with a studded finish.

The quality ‘show timber’ frames are of semi Balloon Back form with padded backs within a semi curved top rail and a downward curved and decoratively carved waist rail. The seat rails are curved on the sides and the front rail is of serpentine shape. The front legs are turned and tapered while the rear legs are of sabre form. The carver chair arms are nicely scrolled.

These chairs could form the carver chairs of a longer set at either end of a Dining Table or could be used as a pair of Easy Chairs or as Desk Chairs.

The chairs are in lovely condition.
