These are a fantastic and rare pair of oversized and most impressive hanging pendant ceiling lights in the classic renaissance manner. Vintage in age ( probably 1970s or a little earlier and most likely Italian made. Beautifully crafted from solid Timber. The tops and bases are boldly profiled and very well turned and are connected by long French ‘C’ shaped scrolls which have foliate ( leaf ) carving top and bottom. The top is turned with three tiers with the top two edge carved and the lower tier ‘bull nosed’ with a gilt foliate carved frieze beneath. Within is an antiqued brass light fitting to accommodate three globes. The whole coloured and gilded to give an authentic aged appearance.
