This is a world class genuine antique English Georgian Regency Cheval Mirror and is possibly the best of its kind in Australia as it is of superb quality and crafted from the finest Mahogany. The well turned vertical supports ( with urn shaped finials at the top ) are ring turned (to simulate bamboo) and support the rectangular ‘swing’ timber framed plate and are braced by both upper and lower turned horizontal stretchers with raised carved apprised Tulip motifs. The uprights flow on to forward and rear facing reeded and tapered downward swept sabre legs each with brass foliage embellished sabots and lower all brass castor assemblies.

Each upright is fitted with a flexible and height adjustable all Brass Candle Esconce.

In excellent condition. As the mirror plate is beveled it may be a later replacement. .
