This is an interesting and decorative antique English 1830s Work Table beautifully crafted from imported prestigious Central American Rosewood.

The table top is circular in form and has an angled gallery of turned timber spindles. Lower down the turned centre column is a smaller complimentary round spindled tray originally for holding wool when being used as a ‘work’ table. The column is well turned with stylised tulip motif turnings at the lower end of both sections of the column.

The slender support column is well turned and terminates in a flat ring collar above the triform platform base which has small bun feet beneath.

Condition: Excellent for age.
