This is a wonderful Table that is so full of character and charm. It is a genuine antique French 19th century ( could be earlier ) solid oak and carved embellished with a cane panel Side table / occasional Table.

The whole top is almost made out of one very wide well figured board and the frieze is profusely carved on each and every side. The front has a full width frieze drawer with a circular ring drawer pull on a circular brass backing plate.

The legs are elegant being well turned and downward tapered with full height vertical flutes with ring turnings at the top and bottom. The shoulders in the frieze section comprise of vertical panels of stylised flowers.

There is a lower shelf comprising of an outer frame connected with all four legs and finished with a decorative carved edge molding. Within the frame is a woven cane panel.

Condition: Excellent for age.
