This is a lovely genuine antique French mid 19th Century Console Table / Hall Table / Side Table and is constructed from both robust French Oak plus solid Mahogany and the Oak sections are finished in prestigious imported Mahogany. The serpentine shaped apron at the front has a full width Oak lined drawer and has raised folate carvings on either side which flow on to the knees of the solid Mahogany elegant shaped and tapered cabriole legs. On top sits a lovely thick piece of Italian Portofino marble with a double edge molding which over hangs the apron but images its serpentine shape.
Condition: This piece is in excellent condition having been refurbished by the now retired highly regarded Eastern Suburbs ‘society’ restorer Robert Collins at considerable expense to the current owner.
Size: WIdth 116 cm x Depth 54 cm x Height 82 cm.
Condition: Timber Excellent. Marble has a small chip in the back left hand corner which can be restored if required. the wood work has been beautifully restored by Robert Collins.
