Antique English early Victorian inlaid Rosewood Side Table SOLD
This is a superb quality example of a ‘high end’ genuine Antique English very early Victorian circa 1840 Side Table / Centre Table.
The rectangular top slightly over hangs the shallow complimentary shaped apron and the top section is supported by hexagonal tapering columns at either end and each having lower flanged and stylised carved ring collars. below is a shaped flat base with quality carved Lion Paw feet with original all brass castor assemblies beneath. The end supports are connected at their bases by a turned and outward tapered cross stretcher.
The Table is finished in selected prestigious imported Central American Brazilian Rosewoot and then is embellished with a broard crossbanded border defined by a Satinwood line inlay and the border is profusely inlaid with semi stylised flower and leaf foliate motifs in Satinwood and various Fruit woods.
This Table can go against a wall as a Side Table, free stand as a Centre Table or sit behind a settee.
The table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use.
