Antique English Georgian circa 1800 Inlaid Mahogany Pembroke Table.
Antique English Georgian circa 1800 Inlaid Mahogany Pembroke Table.
This is a charming genuine antique English George III oval drop side Pembroke Table made from well figured imported Central American Mahogany. The top is embellished with a Rosewood cross banding with line inlay between the Mahogany and the Rosewood. The semi circular drop sides rest vertically if not required and if raised rest on hinged and shaped loafers.
The frieze section has a full width flush mounted oak lined drawer at one end and a complimentary “faux” drawer at the other end. Both have a pair of brass drawer pull handles and are inlaid to compliment the table top. Either side of the drawers is line inlay forming a panel and this is also featured full height on the square tapered legs which terminate in original all brass castor assemblies.
Condition: Currently in very good aged original condition. Some buyers would appreciate it as is with just a good wax polish while others may prefer a light general refurbishment especially to the faded drop side leaf.
