This is a good quality example and genuine antique English William IV period 1830 - 1837 CARD TABLE / SIDE TABLE hand made by craftsmen from prestigious imported Central American Honduran Mahogany.

The top is of rectangular form and swivels and folds over to rest on the frieze section to reveal its green baize lined playing surface.

The rectangular frieze has a front recessed rectangular shaped panel with a split turned quarter molding. At either end are reverse facing ‘S’ shaped scrolls with folate decoration. the top is supported upon a turned and upward tapered “gun barrel’ column with a lower plain ring turning.

The base is of flat shaped form with semi recessed reeded and scrolled feet with original all brass castor assemblies beneath.

This very good example is in excellent original condition commensurate with age and use.
