This is a good genuine antique / vintage French earlier 20th century Card Table which may also be used as a Side Table or a Hall Table Some may also use it as a Bedside Table.

The Table is very well made in the popular Louis XV revival style from prestigious French Walnut of good colour and it has very well carved embellished with typical motifs of the Louis XV period.

The top is of serpentine form and when the hinged top is raised it swivels and folds over on to the frieze to reveal a green lined inset playing surface with a veneered shaped outer border. The frieze section is also of serpentine form and the apron bottom is nicely shaped.shaped and flows into the four corner tall elegant shaped cabriole legs. which are also profusely carved at the top knees.

The table base extends to accommodate the top hen opened by telescopic hard waring solid Oak parallel runners. This also allows for Four people to be able to sit comfortably at the Table.

Condition: Near excellent original condition. slight a f to top however only minor.

Sellers Observation: Quality and style at a price. Some people ebonise then for a dramatic finish while others may paint it French Gray or some other fashionable colour.
